After learning he’d been re-elected last night, Sen. Sherrod Brown, already known for his raspy voice, had strained his vocal cords so much from a final campaign stretch that he couldn’t finish his victory speech. His wife, Pulitzer Prize-winning former newspaper columnist Connie Schultz, finished it for him.
