I have to do some Googling but my mom was saying this morning that she thought they used to show the Detroit Thanksgiving Day parade on TV when she was young (in the late 50’s/early 60’s).

It was shown on TV in my lifetime (at least into the ’80s). That was the one we watched in my family, naturally.
