As I have already read and loved all of these books, I don’t get to purchase them again, but you could.
The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach. $1.99 on Kindle today. HAVE YOU READ THIS YET? If not, read it immediately. It’s about baseball but not about baseball. It’s about growing up, discovering yourself, and it’s beautiful. On many “Best Books of 2011” lists, as it should be.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. $1.99 on Kindle today. Highly imaginative and acclaimed book. Mystical and I think nominally Y/A, but the same way that the Book Thief is Y/A - it tackles many adult themes. Very pretty, very well done. And I read it on my iphone - the vintage photographs did not lose their impact that way.
The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. $2.99 on Kindle today. I read this years ago, the first in the series of “Thursday Next” mysteries, this one involving famous book characters being kidnapped from their texts (oh, yeah, literary characters are real in this). Thursday Next, the Literary Detective, must solve this mystery. IT’S JUST FUN.
If anyone that follows me HASN’T read these, take care of this now.

Well, I certainly paid 5-6 times this amount and still thought it was worthwhile. I would suggest you put down a $5 spot for this great story told over 3 books.
