Montie, the understudy for the role of “cat,” has been let go from the Broadway production, a spokesman for the play told TheWrap. He has been replaced by Moo.

Cats are notoriously difficult — they didn’t even use cats in ‘Cats’ — so it comes as no surprise that there had to be at least one firing during the run,” the spokesman said.

Maybe it was just jealousy after Vito Vincent, the show’s star Tabby, got the lion’s share of the best reviews after the show opened this week, but the New York Post reports that Montie was being “unruly” backstage.
